About Find The Edge

Find The Edge answers the questions a T20 bettor actually asks and nobody else answers well. What does a ground really average batting first? How often is a chase successful there, and from what target? How has this batter fared against this specific bowler across every league they have met in?

Scorecards are everywhere. The aggregates underneath them are not, because they have to be computed from every single delivery. That computation is the whole product.

Find The Edge exists because I couldn't find the tools I needed to answer the questions I had before placing cricket bets. I had spent five years scouring the internet for solutions, but nothing did a good enough job.

The project started in 2015 with a spreadsheet and has grown into what it is today by iterating on that foundation. Each feature has been built to solve an actual problem I was facing, and I'm confident they can help you find your edge in cricket betting.

The site comes with a commitment: everything published here is checkable. The data source is named below, the counting rules are spelled out, and every figure is shown with the sample it was computed from — including the samples too small to lean on.

Find The Edge is independent and self-funded. It is not owned by or affiliated with any bookmaker, it carries no betting affiliate links, and it earns nothing from anyone placing a bet. Its only revenue is membership.

Everything is derived from Cricsheet ball-by-ball match data — roughly 2.7 million individual deliveries as of August 2026, covering 10,931 T20 matches across 77 countries. New matches are imported automatically and the derived statistics are regenerated on a schedule, so the figures on a venue or player page are never more than a day or so behind the cricket.

No figure on this site is copied from another statistics provider. Where a number here disagrees with one elsewhere, the counting rules below are usually why.

Cricket statistics involve more judgement calls than people expect, and different sites resolve them differently. These are the choices made here.

• The Hundred is never mixed into T20 figures. It is a 100-ball format with a different balance between bat and ball. Folding it into a T20 average would quietly corrupt every number it touched, so it is excluded everywhere.
• A bowler is credited only with the wickets that are theirs. Run outs, obstruction and retirements are dismissals but not the bowler's, and a head-to-head record only counts the batter being dismissed by that bowler.
• A wide is not a ball faced. It does not enter a batter's balls or strike rate, matching standard scoring practice.
• Super overs are excluded from venue statistics — they are a tie-break, not an innings.
• Small samples do not get a page. A venue needs at least 20 T20 matches, a player 20 appearances, and a batter-bowler matchup 60 balls. Below that the numbers move too much between one innings and the next to mean anything, and publishing them as though they did would be the easiest way to mislead.

342,567 batter-bowler pairings have met at least once; 1,261 have met often enough to say something.

Previews are statistics highlighting the key data points for upcoming matches, and every figure shown carries its sample as a measure of reliability.

A preview also shows the best current match-winner price across the bookmakers the odds feed covers, with the implied probability alongside it. That is the live market being reported so you can see what it thinks — it is not a selection and not a recommendation, and no price here is one anyone has taken.

This site does not publish tips and keeps no tipping record. Working out what a number is worth at a given price is your job, and doing it well takes knowledge of a competition that a stats page cannot supply on its own.

If a number here looks wrong, it might be. The counting rules above are deliberate, but bugs are not, and source data has its own gaps — occasionally the same player or ground appears twice in the underlying records. Reports of anything that looks off are genuinely welcome and get fixed.
